The Jubilee Orpington is one of the most exciting and sought-after chicken varieties in the U.S. right now. Although this variety of Orpington has been known in England for over a hundred years, it has only been imported into the U.S. within the past 10 years and is extremely rare and hard to find here in the states. Jubilee Orpington chickens are one of the very giant breeds and have full bodies and big fluffy butts that are the hallmark of Orpingtons. The feather patterning of these birds is striking – the background is mostly a rich mahogany color punctuated with white and black speckles, shimmering to crimson and brilliant green. The Jubilee Orpington has a white beak, legs, and feet Earlobes, face, comb, and wattles are red and their eyes are as well. These chickens are great for their size and temperament. They are a decent brown egg layer and cold hearty. Jubilee Orpington chickens are a great addition to your flock.
