Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chickens are very beautiful with a rich-mahogany plumage finely laced in blue. These birds are docile and good producers of medium size brown eggs and also make good heritage meat chickens. This breed is of American origin. They are a very unique variety of Wyandotte due to their unusual coloring. As their name suggests, they are deep red birds with blue lacing on the feathers. Their abundant, fluffy feathering and close-fitting rose combs make them great birds for cold weather. They are medium-weight, dual-purpose, hardy, and active chickens that do well in confinement or free range and are great backyard chickens. Babies are creamy-white with blue and orange backs and heads. At this time, we’re only offering our production type and not a show type.
