No, this does not mean we guarantee you will receive all pullets on an order. Our Sexing is usually 95% True to sex.
Every once in a while we end up having sexing errors. Sexing errors must be reported within 90 days after receipt of shipment. This means that we will refund you the difference in price of the pullet chicks that you ordered and received the wrong sex.
If you would rather have a new shipment of chicks sent you instead of a refund, we will replace your chicks with new ones. We will only refund or ship you new birds once. Not all chicks are hatch all year long so some breeds may not be available when sexing errors are confirmed. We can not ship less than 15 chicks so this may not be an option for you. Inevitably, you will end up with some male chicks at some point in you poultry raising career. We recommend selling or donating them locally if possible. We will replace free of charge, or will refund the chick purchase price of any shipment or part thereof which is missing or not in good condition or were dead on arrival.
All Chicks from The Chick Hatchery LLC are hatched from NPIP Certified Flocks and carry minimum classifications of Avian Influenza Clean as well as Pullorum Typhoid Clean to improve the industry. You can always depend on high quality, healthy chicks from us!

Please inspect at the post office with your Postmaster as a witness if any loss occurs.
We do not recommend opening your box of chicks in front of children until you have inspected it first to make sure you have not lost any chicks during shipping.
This is a very important step so that children do not have to see any chicks that did not survive during shipping!
If a loss occurs during shipment, or shortly there after, our policy requires that we must be notified within 24 hours of receiving your chicks.
A live count is required at this time and we require you provide proof of any chicks that you have lost by submitting a photo to us. No photo = No Refund!

Re-shipments are subject to availability and minimum shipping requirements. Say you ordered 15 Chicks but lost 7, you would need to purchase 8 additional chicks in order for us to re-ship replacement chicks. We will only reship replacement chicks once. Reimbursements are limited to the cost of the birds and will NOT include shipping charges.
Quality Guarantee: We guarantee products to be of the breed standard, variety, grade and quality as represented.
Pickup: We may offer local pickups at our discretion. We are part of a nationwide network of Breeders and Hatcheries that offer a wide variety of poultry that are shipped directly from us or our California, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio, or Wisconsin partners. We would be happy to arrange a shipment directly to your local post office.
Ship Dates: Please specify a desired delivery date on the order form. When selecting multiple Breeds, we have to find a Common Hatch/Ship Date for all Breeds to ship out together. After receiving your pre-paid order, we will contact you by email with an expected ship date. Expect your order to arrive at your local post office in one to three days from the shipping date. Be aware that 98% of orders arrive within two days. We do our best to meet the scheduled shipment date. If we are unable to provide chicks on the scheduled hatch day, you can choose to reschedule or receive a refund or store credit. We ship chicks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and certain Mondays for some Breeds. We fill orders on a first come, first served basis. It is important to place your paid order as soon as possible to get the best chance at earlier ship dates. Typically, orders can be scheduled anywhere from 1 day -4 weeks out. Please let us know if you are willing to accept any substitutions to have a quicker ship date. Some Breeds are new to us this year and we have smaller flocks of them so they can sell out quickly.
Product Accuracy: We reserve the right to substitute similar breeds in the event there is no common hatch date and you will be notified of the changes that were made. If a breed does not hatch as projected, we may substitute a similar breed unless you state NO SUBSTITUTIONS, mail a partial shipment, or reschedule your order at our discretion.
Cancellations: According to our policy, cancellations will be charged a $10 fee. For orders over $100, a 10% fee will be applied. No cancellations within 2 weeks of the scheduled shipping date. If you decide to cancel your order, please call or email us with your order number and the reason for cancellation. Sometimes it is necessary for The Chick Hatchery to cancel an order, and we reserve the right to do so. If we cancel your order, you will be issued a full refund.
